Jordans Dorset Ryvita inspires well-being by making great-tasting, honest, and real food. The Bardney site represented a significant capital investment and a showcase facility. However, the desired output remained elusive.
The site team recognised that a “desire to succeed” wasn’t enough and they needed to challenge their approach. That’s where we come in.
‘This has truly been a people transformation, this is what OpEx is about.’
Radical honesty is in our DNA, it’s why our clients trust us. Our first task was to understand the real capabilities and potential. What we discovered changed everything: process design flaws meant that the factory was less “capable” than the capital plan suggested. Armed with fact and insight, we were ready to transform challenges into opportunities.
Engagement is the catalyst for change. Building on the team’s care for the site and its people, we developed both the Capability and Confidence to execute the necessary changes – showing, not telling, how to step back and see the big picture.
‘Whilst the efficiency journey was fantastic, the cultural change has enabled us to face any challenge. We’ve got the tools to do it ourselves and to keep succeeding. Over a year later, we still use 90% of what Coriolis brought in. It has fundamentally changed how we think and act as a site. When John left, it felt like a member of the team was leaving. He was Ryvita.’
With a solid foundation of leadership and the right tools, including our performance management software, MIMO, the team was more able to manage daily operations while keeping sight of the long-term goals. A meeting structure, focussed on making a difference – rather than reporting history – created accountability and the authority to act at the right levels. We transformed “Big Data” into relevant information, equipping the team to identify issues, tackle root causes and proactively prevent future problems.
The result? Confident, capable people succeeding.
‘Coriolis left a legacy of not just accepting something is broken and replacing it but finding out why and ensuring it doesn’t happen again. I’ve learned from the best and most experienced people how to do this role. I couldn’t believe how they fitted into our culture and genuinely became part of the team.’
True transformation is evident when the team continues to challenge performance in our absence, creating an environment where people want to work. This is Bardney, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together.
